It is showing with the tag after you file. Have you already filed your 2021 (this year) return?
Greetings, I have not filed this years return but it’s pulling in an ATM credit from last year which was an error (I’m amending). I click on Edit ATM in the deductions section and it just says congratulations you’re getting a credit. No ability to edit. I basically need to mark ATM credit as $0.00.
Thanks for any help!
Under Deductions and Credits (in the Business section if using Self-Employed or Home and Business)
Scroll down to "Estimates and Other Taxes Paid"
Click "Show more" if needed to open
Scroll down to "Credit for AMT Paid in Prior Year"
Greetings, same issue, when I click into that section it just states “Congratulations, you’re getting a tax break.” There is no ability to edit or delete the credit. Im using the online premier version.
Let's try to just delete the form.
Follow steps below to delete your Credit for AMT Paid in Prior Year
I have completed the steps for deleting form 8801 and it did not remove the AMT credit. I have not filed 2021 taxes yet
It would be best to follow the instructions here to contact us by phone so we can better assist you. @MelanieAMT
Need to delete the CF worksheet via the Delete a Form process: From left menu select Tool then Tax Tools then look for the CF Worksheet and delete the worksheet. Be sure there are no other carryforward other than AMT credit otherwise those will be deleted as well. This will delete the 8801 form and associated credit CF.
