If you did not save a PDF of just the return to be filed then you only have the PDF with all the worksheets that are not filed. Only print out the main tax form (1040 or state main form) plus all the schedules and statements. Anything that is watermarked is not sent to the taxing authority. Use the PDF reader to choose which pages you need/want to print.
Prior year tax returns from the TurboTax online editions all have the tax return plus all worksheets and informational pages included in the PDF.
If you only want to print the tax return, Form 1040, and the forms and/or schedules included then when using a PDF application such as Adobe Reader just enter the pages you want printed. Any forms and/or schedules that are part of the return will have an Attachment Sequence Number in the upper right corner of the form or schedule.
Select the Printer Icon then select Pages
Some Turbotax PDFs contain "all forms and worksheets", and that includes a lot of Turbotax worksheets and documentation. The official pages of your federal tax return contain an "OMB number" in the top right corner.
It may be harder to identify the state tax forms, you may have to check with your state. Certainly, any page with a Turbotax logo is not part of your official tax return. And note, some states may include a copy of your federal return -- for example, if you file by mail in Virginia, I think you need to include a copy of your federal return along with the state return, so the PDF from turbotax will contain a second copy of the federal return. If you are only saving copies for your records, you probably don't need the second copy.
