I need to amend my state return only

1) log into your tax account.

2)  In the "Some things you can do" menu, "Add a state"  (you won't actually be adding one).

3)  go to you state taxes section, and find the "Other Situations" form the menu....go in there and you'll find the "Amend a tax return" for just the state.

4)  make your changes, and then print and mail in.

Remember that any edits you make in the Federal section at this point, are not creating an amended FED tax return...so I hope all of your changes do not affect the Fed taxes due (or refund).  Certainly, some of the entries you need to make to Amend your state, may require some changes in the Fed section...so as long as they don't affect your Fed taxes due or Fed refund, then it should be OK.
