you receive your refund at the address you put down on your tax return.
You can check your refund status online at the IRS website.
When you say "my account" whose account do you mean? Who prepared your tax return? Did you PAY someone to help you, or were you helped by a friend or relative? Why are they "not available" now?
Did the person who prepared your tax return use TurboTax---or do you even know what they used? Did they print out and give you a copy of your tax return? Do you know the amount of the refund you are supposed to receive?
We do not have enough information to tell you how the money is supposed to be coming to you. There are several options available for how to receive your refund if they used TurboTax....and we do not know what was chosen. We do not know if the person who helped you used the recovery rebate credit to get your stimulus checks or whether they e-filed or mailed your return.
And....hate to say this... but the fact that you gave all of your tax information to someone you now cannot get ahold of is cause for concern. Provide some more details for us, but please do not post anything personal here like your Social Security number or email, etc.
As I said b 4, I had someone else do my taxes 4 me, and they are no longer available 4 me 2 contact. I don't know where they sent it. I check the online get my payment and all it says is unavailable
Didn't that person give you a copy of your tax return? You may be the victim of Identity Theft, so keep an eye out for that. You might need to file a police report.
@peanutbutterjell We know that you said you cannot get hold of the person who prepared your tax return. We took note of that right away. But you were asked a lot of other questions about the person and how your return was prepared/filed, etc. and you answered none of those questions. We do not know how to help you---we have no information. We cannot find your refund or hunt down your return. You do not even seem to know if the person used TurboTax. We are afraid that someone has scammed you. Do you still have ----or can you get---copies of your W-2(s), 1099's etc.? You might have to prepare your own tax return and file it by mail if someone has stolen your identity and used your information.
