I received a letter from the IRS that I owe from return 2018...please provide a fax # so that I can fax you what you requested. I'm not comfortable with downloading
This is a user community forum, not a direct route to TurboTax Support. We don't know what you're talking about. Did you already talk to TurboTax Support? If so, you may have to talk to them again. Why does TurboTax Support want any documents?
You shouldn't ask for a FAX number in a public Internet forum. No telling what someone might provide as a scam to get your sensitive info. If TurboTax Support needs documents and can accept them by FAX, then let them so state and have them assure you that their FAX is secure
Talk to TurboTax Support about your issue and let them advise you.
Hours are currently 5AM-5PM Pacific (8AM-8PM Eastern) Monday-Friday.
You can use this contact form to get a phone number to speak to Support, or it may schedule a callback.
Or see Critter's comment below on how to reach someone at the TurboTax free Audit Support Center.
I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM THE IRS/STATE
TurboTax does not receive any information from the IRS or your state after your return was filed, so no one at TurboTax knows about a letter you received from the IRS or the state.
I GOT A LETTER FROM THE IRS
(what the letters from the IRS mean)
I AM BEING AUDITED
If you purchased Audit Defense:
TurboTax has a special phone number for help with IRS/state tax letters, which will be easier than going through regular Customer Support. At the page below, click on the blue button that says "Get Help from TurboTax Support". Then it will ask you what tax year is your letter. Then it will ask you what the letter concerns. Then it will show you the phone number during posted business hours.
