I Married and must send in a W-7 and statement with my return, so it appears I cannot efile. If I pay and print my return, may I still change things and print again?

Correct, and yes. You cannot efile a return with an ITIN application (W7). Everything must be mailed to the IRS, including the supporting documentation.

Once you pay, you can print as many times as you like. However, you will confuse the system if you go all the way to the very end of the Turbo Tax interview and indicate that you are filing that version. If you go all the way to the end and say that you are mailing the return, the next time you go in, it may think you are preparing an amendment and not still working on your original return

If you think you may want to make continuous changes, pay through this method:

  • My Account
  • Print Center
  • It will prompt you to pay and you can access the forms
