Question

I got a letter from the irs asking for form 8962. I filled it out and mailed it back to the IRS. Will this delay my refund and if so how long will it be delayed?

They will finish processing your return as soon as they get the 8962 back and entered into their system. They say it takes 6 weeks, but I find they process those much more quickly than that.

I’m having he same problem and it pissed me off. I filed my taxes January 24th and got approved he same day. They sent a letter and I filled it out and faxed it back in February 12th the same day I got it. Yesterday made 6 weeks business days. And they still processing it

Any update? My refund got approved January 28th. February 23rd I got the letter requesting these forms. Mailed them next day shipping February 25th. Curious how long this is going to take

@Esquivelang1205 It looks like it is taking approximately 6-8 weeks if you mailed the 8962 form. Please see this discussion on this topic.

why would they wait so long to mail us these forms???? it only adds more days or weeks or months for us to wait for our refund!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
