I live in NJ and normally work in NY. I haven't been to NY since March My company withheld NY taxes the entire year. Is there a way for me to adjust this on my own?

It seems logical that I should not be paying taxes to NY State for April-December (and continuing to the present), yet I still had NY State taxes withheld.

No. Your company is correct. Do not adjust your return, though it seems illogical to pay tax to New York even though you never went to the office since March.

New Jersey and New York agreed to maintain pre-COVID-19 tax arrangements with regards to employee residency even if an employee is working from home in a different state.

New Jersey sourcing rules dictate that income is sourced based on where the service or employment is performed based on a day’s method of allocation. However, during the temporary period of COVID-19 pandemic, wage income will continue to be sourced as determined by the employer in accordance with the employer’s jurisdiction.
