I just bought a new computer as mine crashed. where can I find the 2018 data on my new 2018 TT? I click on Your Tax Returns and Documents, but nothing appears

If you used the Desktop software (CD?Download) for your 2018 return then your 2018 data file is on your computer that crashed.  TurboTax does not have copies of returns prepared with the Desktop software & the data file is not in the software when you install it.  If you still access the information on your old computer, you can copy your .2018tax file to your new computer.

You can do a search for your .2018tax file, or the file is usually in the TurboTax directory off of the My Documents directory.

If you cannot get the .2018tax file from your old computer, you can get a copy or free transcript of your tax return from the IRS.
