The IRS has not given TurboTax any official guidance as to when stimulus payments for every taxpayer will be released. As long as you provided your direct deposit information/card information or mailing address information, you will receive the stimulus when it is released to you (as long as you otherwise qualify for it).
The IRS rolled out the "Get My Payment" tool here. According to IRS.gov, you can use the "Get My Payment" application to:
According to the IRS FAQs:
Get My Payment will display one of the following payment statuses:
1. Payment Status (one of two statuses) –
2. Need More Information – You are eligible for a payment, but we do not have your direct deposit information. You will be given the opportunity to provide your bank information once you have properly verified your identity. Direct Deposit is the fastest way to get your EIP.
3. Payment Status Not Available – We cannot determine your eligibility for a payment at this time. For example, you didn’t file either a 2018 or 2019 tax return, or you recently filed and the return has not been fully processed.
If a payment date is not provided, updates to your payment status are made no more than once per day.
I was approved on April 9th. So why have I still not received my stimulus check. I have friends that have already received theirs. They do not have children or dependents.
It also says that the website updates every 24 hours. I was promised that I would know within 24 to 48 hours. That promise was on the 14th of April. 11 days ago.
I already qualified and was accepted for the Stimulus Check. But I still have not received it.
Where is it?
"Get my payment" does not apply to me. I am on Social Security Disability. I'm still waiting. I was approved and qualified on April 9th
I can not use the "Get my Payment" because that is for those that filed 3018 or 2019 taxes. And even the "Non-files" does not apply to me because I'm on Social Security
I did file the 1099 form. It was approved on April 9th. Which it should mean that I am supposed to receive my stimulus direct deposited to the account information that I sent in.
Help. How much longer do I have to wait?
A4. You are not required to file a tax return and will automatically receive a $1,200 Payment if you received Social Security retirement, SSDI, survivors benefits, SSI, Railroad Retirement benefits, or VA Compensation and Pension (C&P) benefits in 2019. You do not need to contact the IRS, Social Security Administration (SSA), the Railroad Retirement Board (RRB) or Veterans Affairs. The IRS will use the information from your 2019 benefits to generate a Payment to you if you did not file tax returns in 2018 or 2019. You will receive your Payment as a direct deposit or by mail, just as you would normally receive your federal benefits.
