I had a w-2 form from 2022 i forgot to file, how do i go about adding it?

You cannot add it to your 2023 tax return if that is what you mean.   A 2022 W-2 has to go on your 2022 tax return, so you will need to amend 2022 and mail in the amended return.

When you mail it, attach a copy of the W-2.  Use a mailing service like certified mail so you will know the IRS received it.   If you are in a state with a state income tax you will also need to amend your state return.
