If your return is accepted and if you're not receiving a refund by check, then the address issue will not cause a problem for this year.  However, you should file a change of address form with the IRS (form 8822 provided below) so that they have the correct information for next year.

If your return is accepted and you are receiving a refund check by mail, you should file the 8822 form as soon as possible and call the IRS (1-800-829-1040) to alert them of the situation.

Note:  If your return is rejected, you’ll have the opportunity to fix the mistake and re-file your return.
