Ok, so I stated in a comment under the first answer that I was having this same problem.
How I fixed it:
If your return still hasn't been accepted I want you to follow these steps:
1. Call the automated system and enter your information like you would on WMR. #1800-829-1954
2. If the automated machine is giving you the same useless "We cannot provide any information on your tax return"- Hang up and call #1800=829-0582 ext 652 (when prompted).
3. Let them know when you filed and ask them if they received it because the software you filed on as well as their site says they haven't accepted it.
4. If they state they haven't received your tax return, get on the phone or email the software company and ask why not. (In my case they claimed I didn't submit it yet the home page said "Return submitted 01/31/17") EYE ROLL.
5. Re-submit. (Again in my case I was accepted almost instantly with no delay)
God speed and I REALLY hope this helps.

You will not receive any confirmation until the IRS opens their e-file on January 23, 2017. TurboTax lets you e-file early but they hold your return on their servers until the IRS opens their system. You should receive a confirmation 24 to 48 hours after the IRS starts accepting returns on 1/23.
