I divorced 6/2017 filed married separate lived in another state. Back together now and it is messing with his taxes do I need to amend since we were married 1/2 the year?

Since you were divorced on 6/2017 you shouldn't have filed married filing separate unless you were re-married before 12/31/17. Your filing status for each tax year is determined by the last day of the tax year (usually 12/31/17)

If you were divorced on 12/31/17, you should amend your tax return to change your filing status. TurboTax will help you determine the correct filing status.

Make sure your originally filed tax return is completely processed before you amend your tax return. Also, federal amended tax returns need to be printed and paper filed as do most state amended tax returns.
