I was on deployment for 7 months most of which was tax free, is there any forms or anything I need to amend into my tax return?

When you go into the personal section at the beginning, make sure you check the box that you are military, that you were deployed and that you were or were not in a combat zone.  TurboTax will do the rest.

Do not be alarmed if the IRS sends you a letter asking for a copy of your orders in a few months.  Many of my military clients get this request while some do not.  The IRS noticed an increase in the number of taxpayers claiming the exempt pay so they are checking more.
