I completed my California state tax refund on January 30th and efiled. Why is it still have pending status throughTurboTax?

This answer does not apply to those of us with CA returns pending for over a week now.  CA FTB said they are not delaying any electronic returns in their end for additional review.  They said other electronic ones are coming through and it is a TurboTax issue.  Please come up with a software fix ASAP.  Thanks.

It has been more than 21 days since my California State tax return was accepted, I also have not received anything from them in the mail either. I was just wondering if your office would be able to check the status of my Ca state tax return. Or maybe if there is a phone number to call and check the status of my tax refund.

Filed my taxes with TT on March 22. Received federal refund in about 1 week. Kept checking CA website (https://www.ftb.ca.gov/refund/index.asp) every few days only to see "Processing." Finally, today saw that my refund has been "Issued." Not sure why it will take another 10 days for direct deposit, but happy to see that it was finally issued.

UPDATE:  CA tax refund received on April 22. All taxes filed, all refunds finally received. It was a long, tedious, frustrating process this year.

I e-filed my CA return & discovered error in my state tax withholding. I over stated my withholdings & although I entitle to a refund it should be less $.

Should I file an amended return or just wait for state to pick up on my error & send me a reduced $ refund ?

I think I'd wait to see if the State adjusts your refund amount.   Doing an amendment right now might complicate the issue.  Blessings...

To CBC in CALIF -- Will you be using Turbotax again next year?  Just wondering.  I think I will.  I know this year had the software glitch, but eventually (with hundreds of us emailing Turbotax) they finally fixed the error.  Blessings....

Yes, I will most likely use TT again next year. I believe that problems this year were caused by a couple of factors including tax implications of federal stimulus programs and states not having updated forms available in a timely manner.

@CBCinCA Yes, incredibly enough - not all states have finished their tax forms and legislation with the law changes. It has been a crazy year with forms changing daily. Thank you for realizing it has been a bizarre year and that TurboTax programmers have been working hard.
