I received the message Take Action: Your refund is delayed Reference code 1541. Never seen that in the history of filing my taxes ! Anybody else seen this?

It's mainly TurboTax users though you guys, I'm trying to see where's this info coming from. This is what I was told just trying to make sure it's true. I was just giving you guys a heads up so y'all will know give me a minute.

@greybessie I only heard TurboTax is under investigation not h&r or anyone else, thought I'd let you guys know because it's a lot of us that used TurboTax and some how all under review. It's just to many of us seems kinda strange.

I was just told by a tax advocate the the code 1541 is eaither an audit or a wedge discrepancy. Hope that helps . Definitely call the IRS

I use freetaxusa. Have been for the last 8yrs never had this problem.

Not just TurboTax I filed with hrblock I have the 1541 since 2/16 w no update yet . Only reason I’m checking here is because that’s the only forum I see when googling this topic

Update: so I feel that the bottom line is that the irs needs more time to process returns and by giving out codes buys them time and cover their own a** all she told me was that I was under the "45 day review" which is the same answer they is giving to the whole world and that a letter will be sent out and I wont hear anything untill April 18th (which over 1000,00 people have said this) so I really believe that April 18th is the date set for the irs to finish all returns by that deadline because there is no way all these returns is under review. She also said that it my be because my job has yet to report wages(which I have seen over 1,000 ) people get told this.Bottom line is it's a waiting game. Lets look on the bright side at least we will still have money when the summer comes around

I think if their falling behind then say it, giving a code shouldn't have anything to do with it. Like I said guys I don't know how true what I heard is I've been trying to get some exact answers. As far as I know it's hear say, haven't heard definite facts. Wanted to just let everyone know that "it's mostly TurboTax users " verses any other tax service.

It's a lot more TurboTax users outside this forum going through this as well haven't really heard to many others maybe a few. That's why I thought I'd let my fellow turbo users know what I heard. People will say a lot of things so I really don't know and trying to verify myself.
