I can't access my 2016 returns. We filed them online through TurboTax. they are not on my computer as we lost our records.

If you used desktop software installed to your own computer, then the tax files were only stored on your own hard drive or any backup devices you used such as a flash drive. Returns prepared using desktop software are not stored online. You can get a free transcript from the IRS, or an actual copy for $50 from the IRS.
