I am unable to open my 2022 return

I cannot complete 2023 return unless I can get some information from 2022. 
Did not retain license code for 2022

Yeah...but didn't you create (and SAVE) a PDF copy of it?

...or print it out and put in a file folder to reference in coming years?

If you bought it directly from TTX, then log into your downloads and the code is right there.

If you bought form Amazon...then it might be in your Software Services account

Then....IF all you have is the .tax2022 datafile, then you'd need to buy a new 2022 software set to get its license code.....and if you have a state to file, make sure you buy a version that has a free state included (only have to be careful when buying Deluxe...and never buy Basic)

BUT if you didn't save the .tax2022 datafile either, then you might have to get a 2022 transcript from the IRS on the IRS website.
