I am an international student and mistakenly filed my tax return using Turbo Tax. I wasn't aware that Turbo Tax shall not be used in this scenario. What should I do now?

Yes, you can file an amendment within three years from the date of filing. You should wait till IRS processes your return. You can file the amendment after that.

It’s best to pay the IRS online directly on their website at Make a Payment. You can also send a check or money order.

You can file an amended non-resident return, Form 1040-NR, through TurboTax partner Sprintax.com. You will probably owe with your amendment because you cannot claim the standard deduction on Form 1040-NR.
