Is there a way to cancel my taxes? I filed them under the wrong email address account, i was logged into my employer account rather than my personal email account. I also filed to manually mail them in, not e-file and I did not have to pay for any service because I selected the free service. So is there a way to cancel this still and transfer it to my other Turbotax account?
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
Unfortunately, there is no way to cancel a return that has been submitted. If the IRS rejects your return, you will then be able to clear it and begin in the correct account. There is also no way to merge accounts. You will have to remember which account you want to continue in and leave the other account dormant.
But I did not mail it out yet to the IRS. So can I just fill it out on a different tax provider and mail that form to the IRS? Everything that was filled out on this return is correct, however I don't want it under this email address account, I want it under my other email address account. Also the account I just accidently filed under is the one i don't want anymore. So can I delete that account and fill it out under my other one and fail it from there?
If you did not e-file or mail them in, you could do them under another account.

WRONG: After the IRS rejects a return you can "clear it and begin in another account." IS INCORRECT!!
CORRECT:
If the IRS is rejecting it because of AGI and the AGI is correct, that means they are not able to verify identity and will not be able to efile. It's the IRS saying, we know you filed in 2019 and we know the correct AGI and even though the AGI is correct on this return, it is not LINKED to 2019 and we cannot verify you identity and therefore you MUST mail it in. The IRS using LINKED TAX returns to verify identity. You can put zero for AGI only if it you first time filing OR if you did NOT use Turbo Tax last year to efile.
