Do you mean an IP PIN from the IRS? Please see their information here: https://www.irs.gov/identity-theft-fraud-scams/get-an-identity-protection-pin

Hi, yes it’s an IP-PIN. Online they say they are not taking any calls right now. My sister is trying to get her IP PIN to file her taxes and to receive the stimulus. She just filed for 2018 and needs to file for 2019. But they are asking for a credit card number or loan to confirm her identity which she doesn’t have either. I didn’t know if there was another way. @HeatherPLO
This is the only option I am aware of.
If you need an IP (Identity Protection) PIN to file your taxes, you can retrieve your IP PIN online. Please click on this link: Get an IP PIN
Ok thanks. It’s not working for her. It wants a credit card or loan payment or tells her to call. Thank you for your help.
