Hey guys,
I've filed my first tax return this January 2020.
Just heard that dependents are not qualified for the stimulus check, and want to know if I'm dependent or not. Where can I check in my tax return to see if I'm dependent or independent? I've did some googling myself, and could not find it still.
Also I've made over $4,200 so does that mean I'm independent?
I'm 22 yrs old / working full time / no student / lives at parent's owned condo
Thanks in advance

How did you file your tax return? Did you indicate that you were a dependent or not? The status you used is on Form 1040. See screenshot
To access your current or prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the userID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/
Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and on the section Your tax returns & documents click on Show. Click on the Year and Click on Download/print return (PDF)
Or -
When you sign onto your online account and land on the Tax Home web page, scroll down and click on Add a state.
This will take you back to the 2019 online tax return.
Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the online program screen. Then click on Print Center. Then click on Print, save or preview this year's return.
Thanks for the quick reply!

Not checked. Not a dependent.
Hi I put I could be claimed as a dependent but was not claimed as one, does that mean I’m independent? If not how do i fix that because I need the stimulus check. Thank you
You can amend your return if no one can claim you as a dependent. For info on how to amend your return, please click the link below.

I’ve amended it, will it be a while before it’s changed? Will I be able to get the stimulus?
Once the return has been processed (which due to the Coronavirus will probably take a long time) then you would become eligible for the stimulus payment.
Please note that the payment is considered a credit from your 2020 tax return. So if you do not receive it this year, you will receive it as a credit on next year's return.
In the coming weeks, Treasury plans to develop a web-based portal for individuals to provide their banking information to the IRS online, so that individuals can receive payments immediately as opposed to checks in the mail.
Please check the IRS Corona-virus website here for updates. This is where all updates will be updates as soon as information is available.
