How to delete an amended return and start over

i filed my 2020 return and need to amend it.  I started the amended return and want to delete it and start over

I followed these steps and it will not delete my amended information to start over

[VolvoGirl]

After you delete it then you need to manually take out the changes you made to put your return back to the original return.
