How to delay the auto debit

@telisha38127

An auto-debit for TurboTax fees?

If you chose to pay your TurboTax fees out of your Federal refund, and if your Federal refund has been delayed unusually long at the IRS (or if it's been reduced), TurboTax will want to be paid. They likely started sending you emailed bills to pay. If you don't respond by either paying or asking for a deferment, they will ultimately debit your bank account.

You need to phone TurboTax ASAP to ask for a deferment, or they'll debit your bank account.   You need to reach them today (Tuesday) before they actually submit the auto-debit request.    Once they submit it, they say they can't stop it.   You need to phone them today (Tuesday).

Hours are 5AM-9PM Pacific (8AM-12 Midnight Eastern), 7 days/week

The FAQ below has a special phone number you can use in its first paragraph:

If you can't reach Support with that phone number, there may be one in your emailed debit notice.  Or here's an alternate way to reach them:

This is a user community forum, not TurboTax Support, but we may be able to help point you in the right direction.

What do you mean by "tax payment"  debited?

If you are referring to TurboTax product fees, you need to phone TurboTax Support at the special number below and ask for a deferment, and you need to do it right away today (Tuesday).

See this FAQ that explains the process.  The first paragraph of the FAQ has a special phone number if you have a question or have a hardship and need to ask for a deferment.

Hours are 5AM-5PM Pacific (8AM-8PM Eastern),  Mon-Fri

If you need to ask for a deferment of the product fees, you should call them as soon as possible.  Once they actually start the debit process, they say they can't stop it.

@ Linerin

The answer I gave you above is how to postpone an auto-debit for TurboTax product fees, if TurboTax is about to debit your bank account.  Or by "tax payment debited", are you asking about taxes due to the IRS with your return that you chose to pay to the IRS by direct debit from your bank account?

It's not clear what type of debit you are referring to.
