What tax year did you amend? If you "amended" a 2021 return then you did that too soon, since you should wait for the original return to be fully processed before amending. If you amended for 2020 or an earlier year, you had to file the amended return by mail, and that can take a very long time for processing.
Even during “normal” times it takes about four months for the IRS to process an amended return. During the pandemic and due to the severe backlog at the IRS it is taking much longer—six to nine months or more for many amended returns. Do not expect quick results from amending. When the IRS issues a refund for an amended return it will be by check. They do not make direct deposits for refunds for amended returns. You can watch for information here:

Amended returns are currently taking 10 months on average to process after the original return has fully processed so expect a long long wait. Check the IRS site once a week for a progress report ... https://www.irs.gov/filing/wheres-my-amended-return
Thank you for the information.. i just check your link & it did say the correct date i filed the Amend Fed return this year... however it said "It has not been processed. We apologies for any inconvenience"
so does this mean i keep waiting or is there something i should do aside from calling them & ask questions

@teresad112 You keep waiting. There is nothing you can do to speed up the IRS, nor can TurboTax speed them up for you.
Thank you so much !
