How long will it take for me to get refund after i sent audit documents?

Its been 14 weeks... I sent all documents in on March 5 2021 received 2 letters saying they would review my case May 19th 2nd one is for July 18th. Had to verify dependents everyone I talked to said they got the docs but no examiner has looked at it why cant the person who answered put my info in you clearly see theg my kids been claiming the same since they were born

BIG machine and too few clogs ... each person/department  may have as many as a million returns in the hopper for processing  so unfortunately when you sent in your response you got back in the que and not at the front.

I’m dealing with this exact situation rn, did you ever end up actually getting your state refund? I was audited and sent in exactly what was asked for. That was in April, I checked today and it said my audit was closed and that I’d be getting a letting in the mail with their decision so I’m very confused.

I sent all my paperwork they requested on February and I received a letter saying they will review by July 28 2020 been all most 5 months and haven't received return

i paid what was due on my audit and now it’s says my taxes is processing how long will it till I get my taxes

sorry but only the iRS can answer that question.  if you paid taxes because the IRS audited the return that probably took the previous overpayment into account so you will get nothing in that case.

@zacharyconrad11 No one else can see your tax return and we do not know why you were audited or even if you were audited -- sometimes people say they were audited when they were just under review or received a letter from the IRS.  We do not know what documents you sent or how long ago you sent them.   If you still are supposed to receive a refund, only the IRS can tell you about that.  The IRS is severely backlogged, so many things they do take much longer than normal.  TurboTax does not get any information after you file your tax return.

Listen to each menu before making the selection.

First choose your language. Press 1 for English.

Then do NOT choose the first choice re: "Refund", or it will send you to an automated phone line.

Instead, press 2 for "personal income tax".

Then press 1 for "form, tax history, or payment".  

Then press 3 "for all other questions."

Then press 2 "for all other questions."  It should then transfer you to an agent.
