How long after the bank rejects my refund will it take the IRS to issue me a paper check

I used the free software so I don’t have any fees but still call them??? I also called the treasury yesterday and they told me that it was sent back to the irs 3/1 so should I call Santa Barbara bank and let them know what’s going on

So I just got off the phone with irs and the lady was really nice even though the treasury told me the irs received the funds back on the first the lady I spoke with at the irs said she didn’t see anything so she went ahead and started a trace so that they can send me out a check but I still feel more comfortable getting a TA

@orishuler the irs told me to wait. If they put a trace on it, it could take 90 days to get a check back.

Im having the same issue my bank keep telling me all kinds of different stuff everytime i call. My check was rejected on the 27th. It's the 10th and i still haven't seen no update on wmr. It's been a week now

@lovelyjneira call the treasury and track it first but u gotta wait till Monday and then after that call the irs I may update wed if u didn’t update sat

Update y’all I had a ddd for 2/27 bank rejected it and held it for two whole days I called the treasury they said they received it back on 3/1 after that I called the irs  Thursday which was 3/7 and they told me that the funds had finally been credited back to my account checked wmr and it went back one bar and a ddd for a check to be mailed out on the 3/15

I got the same. Check to be mailed on 3/15. And a pending to be sent on the irs app. I'll update whenever I get the check.

Do anybody knows the number to the treasury because my bank keep giving me different stories. One lady said it takes 10 days for the irs to receive it back and another lady said 10 weeks and then another 4 weeks for the irs to mail it out

It's up to 5 weeks per I initial irs call. If you trace your money it will take about 3 months to get back. I'll only trace if april comes and I have nothing. Rather wait a month than 3.

@lovelyjneira I get mines updated once a week on saturdays. Still shows approved, waiting to be mailed out 3/15.
