How long after the bank rejects my refund will it take the IRS to issue me a paper check

After selecting your language, choose option 2 for “For answers about your personal income tax…”
Press 1 “For questions about a form you have already submitted or …”
Press 3 “For all other questions about your tax history or…”
Press 2 “For all other questions about your tax history or payment…”
IMPORTANT: When it asks you to enter your SSN or EIN to access your account information, do not enter anything.
After it asks twice, you will get another menu.
Finally, press 2 for “personal or individual tax questions” it should then transfer you to an agent.

I called and she asked her supervisor could she release the refund and they told her NO! So she said call back at the end of the week and once a week until they do. She said WMR will NOT update do to the direct deposit already be in sent and rejected...

She said she asked her supervisor could she that even if she done it the system could reject the release... Makes absolutely No Sense! I plan on it but now when I try to call they hang up saying too many calls try again later! I'm so upset my family needs this money and they have no legit reason to hold the thing!!!

Same thing happened to me today when I called too! I plan on calling back tomorrow.  And in my case it was my name on account, correct routing and account numbers, only thing was bank switched policies and only accepts deposits from my employer.

@sfozzy2350 yea I plan on calling again tomorrow myself... In our case my bank rejected our return because my husband's name is first on the return. They've had my re refund for almost 2 months now...
