How does the IRS validate the Recovery Rebate Credit?

I am wondering if this is the reason why my efiling, which was accepted, is taking so long to process.

Is this a manual effort on the IRS part?

@Twinsch If you made a mistake with the 3rd EIP payment you can expect the IRS to correct your mistake but it will delay your refund by 3 or 4 weeks. Do not try to amend for this. You just have to wait for the IRS to fix it.
