How do I view my previous tax return from 2016

Those are no longer available if you used the "Online" software.

If you used the Desktop software, then those will ONLY be on your own computer (and any backup media you kept)

PLEASE,,,,everybody, whomever used the "Online" software...download the PDF files that are available in your account NOW, and back them up to a USB-Flash drive too.  For the "Online" preparation users...TTX only keeps them for ~ 7 years...so one more year drops off every year.

 

In the Future...Download a PDF tax file again soon after filing each year's taxes (and after they are accepted).  Back them up too.

SAVE YOUR TAX RETURN !

 

EVERY year before mid-October you should save a copy of your tax return as a pdf and print a copy of it for your records.  That way you will not be searching online frantically when you need it for a lender, FAFSA forms, your next tax return, etc.

NOTE:  TurboTax and the IRS save returns for seven years.  Returns older than seven years are purged.
