Make sure all your forms are available for print. TurboTax does not to permit printing or saving as a PDF until all forms are available & loaded onto the program.
Use this link to reference when your tax forms will be available. You can search by TurboTax Product and for IRS and State-Specific Forms.
As a possible work around, see this post in community from last year: https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/state-taxes/discussion/successfully-printed-south-carolina-2023-in...
Been working on problem with TT for Three weeks now. What they don't say is the program has an error in it for printing. trying to get you to e-file or pay up to online program. All about money and profit. Big Issue. I have been using MacInTax and now TurboTax since 1986. Many bad years for program but this year the worst. Option they say is save to PDF from File menu. Print from PDF. my program didn't work. Another option is Print Preview. Move cursor on top of file hit view icon. Will come up on screen as print enabled. Choose pages to print. Also Print Active Form not working. Problem when you want to print one screen like depreciation so you can use as crib sheet as you update program. Not all pages of your tax return show up on Print Preview like the worksheets you enter data into. Too many problems and too many workarounds that we should not have to endure. fix the program so it can print. Most basic of actions we do. I may finally go to different program next year.
This is extremely inconvenient! I was able to print via preview screen and save to PDL as suggested and that worked. But PLEASE...this should not be an issue at this point in the product evolution!!
I have checked the link to verify that all the tax forms are available. I have filed my taxes and gotten confirmation for doing so. But, I cannot save or print copies of the forms. It says "completing calculations," then I get a quick error beep and then the program goes back to the page I was on. I have been using TurboTax for many years. This is the first time I have encountered this problem. Very frustrating.
This was a problem but was corrected in a recent update.
You may need to do a manual update.
You can try these steps to resolve if you are using the online version:
I appreciate the reply CatinaT1. But, the manual update is just for Windows. I'm using Mac software on an iMac. I'm not using the online version, so clearing the cache or using a different browser or Incognito window won't make any difference. I have checked to be sure I am using the most recent version and have done all of the updates. The software says there are no updates to make. But, I just tried again and still cannot print or save a .pdf copy of my tax returns. I'm using an iMac running macOS Ventura 13.7.4. Hopefully this information can be passed along so this can get fixed soon. Thank you.
The experience you described has been reported and is currently being addressed by the development team. @josephromano
@DawnC Can you tell me if there has been any progress in resolving the problem where we cannot print or save the tax documents we created? Your last post said development team was working on this. That was March 4. I appreciate any update you can provide. Thank you
The information that I typed in is not printing right. I go to print preview and the numbers are like not completely showing like the font needs to be changed to bold. I can't mail missing ink numbers. this is what I get and it's not my printer.
There has been progress made on resolving this issue. However, the expected release date is not for another 2 weeks.
