If your return was already efiled and accepted and you were asked after by the IRS to send in Form 8862, you will need to mail the form to the IRS for processing.

If your return was rejected because you received E-file reject IND-046-01: Form 8862 is missing from the tax return and it is required to be able to claim the earned income credit (EIC), you added the form and re-efiled your return and it was accepted, the form was sent. 

You can check the status of your return by logging into the IRS website www.irs.gov/refunds.
