TurboTax only retains online tax returns for the past 7 years, the same retention period as the IRS.  The 2018 tax return is no longer available.

Thus...if you haven't done so already, download every year's PDF file for what years are available right NOW.

AND back those up on a flash drive too, and store in a safe place.

Then you won't be left in the dark struggling to find those older years.

Do this PDF save every year for the newest tax file you create.

A tax professional can probably get a transcript of your 2018 tax return from the IRS, with your permission. A transcript lists the information from your tax return, but it is not an actual copy of the return. It is not in the format of the actual forms. The IRS does save transcripts longer than 7 years.
