How do i file a 1098-t if i already filed my w2's?

If you have transmitted your returns with your W-2 information, the next step is to wait for them to be accepted or rejected.

If rejected, you may add your 1098-T and resubmit.

If accepted, you'll have to amend (available late January or early February 2018).

Note:

• Before starting to amend the tax return, wait for the tax refund to be received or the taxes due to be paid and processed by the IRS.
• You're free to cash your refund check or spend it once you have it. You don't need to wait for your amendment to finish processing, which can take another 3-4 months.
• If you owe money after amending, you'll just include payment with your mailed amendment form.
• And if your amendment results in a second refund, you'll get a check for the additional amount.
• An amended return, Form 1040X, can only be printed and mailed to the IRS, it cannot be e-filed.  
• The IRS will take 12 weeks or longer to process an amended tax return.
• 3 weeks after you mailed your amendment, you can start tracking its progress at the IRS Where's My Amended Return? site.

I had filed my taxes and I had got another W2 from my daughters college she had atteneded and I got it 2 days after I had filed my return. So how do I file the 1098-T form for the amendment.

Yes, you will need to add it to your 2020 return.

If you filed, it is like dropping it into a mailbox - you cannot get it back.

You'll have to wait until your return is either accepted or rejected.

• If rejected, you can make any necessary changes.
• If accepted, you'll need to amend your return. 
• To avoid unnecessary delays, do not amend until your original return has been fully processed. 
• You can e-file your 2020 amended federal tax return, but most states require amendments to be printed and filed by mail.
• Allow 16 weeks for processing.
