How do I correct a mistake on a return that's been completed and printed, but not submitted?

I have printed the return to mail, so Turbo Tax thinks I'm done.  But I haven't mailed it, and I need to make a correction.

If you use TurboTax Online and you selected that you wanted to print and mail your tax return, then TurboTax will treat your return as if you have filed.  If that is the case, you will no longer see, "Take me to my return/Continue my return" on your account.  To get around that issue, pleasedo the following:

• Log in to your TurboTax account
• Click on Taxes, and then click on My Tax Timeline
• Locate your 2018 tax return on that page 
• Find  "Some things you can do" under your 2018 tax return information
• Choose Add a State (you don't actually add one; that's just to get the return to open up.)
•  Now you can make any changes to your return, and reprint it for filing.

Follow these instructions to get back into your tax return.

1. In TurboTax Online, sign into your account.
2. Select Tax Home in the left menu.
3. Scroll down to Your tax returns & documents.
4. Select 2020, and then select Add a State (you're not actually adding a state, this opens the return back up)
