There isn't really an initial Online "order" per-se
........you pay for the software and the filing when you either want to actually file, or want to print (though printing isn't active yet).
So...if you normally use Online tax software to file
1) You could use your main tax file to put in your test data...but you have to carefully change all the values to their true values when you get around to filing next Feb-April. But you can't print until you pay.
2) Create a new UserID dummy account and put in your test data. But you have no access to any of your old files in this Dummy account. So better keep track of what UserID is dummy data, and which is real data. But you can't print until you pay.
OR...the absolute best option
3) Buy, download and install the desktop software...you can create as many test files as you want, and print at any time. Then start a separate new tax file for when you get your tax documents late in January-Feb
