How can i download my original tax return. i had to amend one but my school needs the original one as well

Before you amended did you save the original return ?   If you did not save the original before you created a 1040X, the amended return replaced the original, and the original is lost.  You can get a free transcript from the IRS, or for a fee of $43, an actual copy.

Or you can pay the IRS $43 for an actual copy of your tax return which will include copies of your W-2’s
