You would have Only been charged for the online edition you were using if you entered your credit card information in the File section of the program before filing the tax return.

Or did you print it out to review it?  You have to pay the fees to print.  The fees are to prepare or print the return whether you file or not.  You don't have to pay until you file (or want to print).
