Hi, I had started to file last year's taxes late last year, but did not submit. I am unable to amend these returns, as I have a Mac. I'm happy to pay, but can't access.

I was preparing to file but waiting on my wife's Tax ID number (that we found out we can't get until we file our taxes!) So, now, I plan to file last year's taxes without her Tax ID, but I need to access the returns to amend them; however, I can only find the download for Windows, and I only have access to Macs. I'm happy to pay for the additional service, just need to know where to find it. 

Love the service; just filed this year's taxes, and took out so much of the hassle 🙂 Just hope I can do it for 2016 now, too!

If you never filed the return, there would be no need to amend it. Amends are made only when a return has been filed and accepted. See here What does it mean to "amend" a return?

You will need to print the 2016 return and mail it if you already completed it and just never got to file it last year. It cannot be done online. TurboTax Online is only for the current tax year of 2017. You also cannot e-file a prior year return per IRS regulations.

When you mail the return, be sure to attach any documents showing tax withholdings (i.e. W-2’s and 1099’s). You may also want to use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS received the return.
