Hi I cant seem to actually talk to any real person. I entered the wrong account number for direct deposit. It was deposited in an account just not mine.

Did you have any TurboTax product fees that you chose to pay out of the Federal refund?  If so, the IRS sends it to a temporary account at an intermediary bank where the fees are subtracted.  Then that bank sends it on to your bank (or card) in a second direct deposit.  If you used that service, we can tell you how to log in to your temporary account at the intermediary company to check on the funds.

I think you meant out of Federal refund, not Federal "check".

So since you paid fees out of the refund, if your bank account number is wrong, it will go back to the intermediary bank--not the IRS.

It's also possible that the incorrect account number you are seeing as "deposited" is the intermediary bank account, and that you may still get your deposit at your bank when the intermediary bank sends it on.  Unless you did actually mistype your own banking numbers.

In any case, my answer below will tell you how to check on it and what may happen if it does bounce from your bank back to the intermediary bank.

If you chose to pay your TurboTax fees out of your Federal refund, your funds will first go from the IRS to a temporary account at an intermediary bank--either Civista Bank of Sandusky, Ohio, or Green Dot Bank.  At the intermediary bank the fees are subtracted, then the rest of your funds are sent on to your bank (or prepaid debit card) in a second deposit.  The company that handles that is SBTPG (Santa Barbara Tax Products Group.)

Less commonly there can be delays at the intermediary bank, and additional ID info, etc. might be required.

If for any reason the second deposit fails (the one that is actually to your bank or card), it will bounce back to SBTPG's bank who will issue you a paper check in the mail less a $20 service fee.

Once the IRS has released your funds, you can log in to your temporary account at SBTPG to see the status of your funds.

To log in, choose the taxpayer portal at:
https://www.sbtpg.com/

SBTPG has a phone contact page at the following link.   Even when they are closed, you may be able to get automated info, or you can log in as above.

What product are you using?

Have you already filed your return, or is it still in the preparation phase?

Does TurboTax think you were finished, but haven't actually filed, so you need to know how to open the return back up?

Bank information for what--to receive a tax refund, pay taxes due, etc.?

Even when I go in their website and try to log in with my SSN it’s telling me that they can’t find my account and when I call the phone number that was provided to me and I’ll enter my SSN it says that the number I entered it invalid

You didn't mention what you are doing?    "Their website."    WHOSE website????   What are you wanting to do???

You're posting in an old thread from last year, where it is less likely to be seen.    If you wish, you can start a new current thread on your issue, where you can explain.
