Hello, Last summer I worked at Us and my tax refund was approved. The bank account I used was not active in my country, so the money was returned. What can I do about it?

Hello, have a good day. I worked in the US last summer with the "Work and Travel" program and returned to my country, Turkey. Then in February, I made an application to the system in order to receive my tax refund, but I was informed that my bank account opened by my employer in the US could not be used in my country, so my account was out of use. The IRS system shows that the amount was deposited to me, but I contacted the bank and they said that they tried to deposit this amount into my account, but they said that they could not deposit it because the account was out of use. As a result, my tax refund has not been credited to my account. I cannot call you by phone because the phone number I used in the US is no longer in use in my country, so I no longer have access to that phone number. What are the solutions you can offer me? If your refund went to a closed bank account, it was returned to the IRS.  The IRS would have issued a paper check and would have mailed that check to the address on your tax return.   If you did not receive a check, you will need to have the payment traced by the IRS.
