Haven't received refund after 3 weeks

I filed my Federal and State taxes using TurboTax on Mar 15th and both were accepted on Mar 16th. It is now Apr 5, 3 weeks later, and I haven't received any refunds. Is this a glitch in TurboTax? How can I find out the status of my refund?

TurboTax gives you an estimated date for receiving your refund based on a 21 day average from your date of acceptance, but it can take longer.

Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control. TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.

You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 20 of your Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing.

I submitted the tax return & had to mail paperwork on 4/2/22 but still haven't received the refund.

@Fordtaurus2010 TurboTax receives no information after you file your tax return.  You have not mentioned what paperwork you mailed.   Only the IRS can tell you when your refund will be issued.  They are backlogged so many things take much longer than usual.

hate to state this but if you paper filed, expect it to take up to 6 months...... there are plenty of articles on the internet about how far behind the IRS is processing paper returns.   Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
