If I have not filed in 4 years should I file the most recent return first? Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello, I am a US Citizen working abroad, I need to file my return from 2013 to current, should I start with the most current return first?

You should start with the oldest first. Start with 2013 and work forward. There may be things in one year that will carry forward to the following year.

TurboTax for 2013 is no longer available. You can purchase TurboTax software for 2014, 2015, and 2016 at the following link.

Returns for past years cannot be e-filed. You will have to print the returns and file them by mail. Mail each return in a separate envelope.

I should also have mentioned that it is too late to get a refund for 2013. You can file the 2013 tax return. If it shows a payment due you have to pay it, but if it shows a refund you will not get the refund.

If your 2014 tax return shows a refund, you have to file it by April 15, 2018 in order to get the refund.
