I recently e-filed Fed and State. I have since noticed an error, which I have corrected. Neither return has been accepted yet. Can I un-submit, then resubmit, or do I need to wait until the FED accepts the return, then submit an Amended return? (FYI: The error: I claimed the $1500 Child Tax Credit under my name, rather than $750 for me and $750 for my spouse - Married - Joint Return).

you can not unsubmit. however, it should have no effect. while Turbotax asked you for amounts for you and your spouse, on the actual form, since you're filing jointly only the total is reported. there is nothing to correct. the IRS will not even see that you reported $1500 for yourself rather than $750 each.

No, you cannot un-submit a return. You will need to wait to see if your return is accepted or rejected. If it is rejected, then you can fix it. If it is accepted, you can amend, however, the IRS will likely catch this error and possibly send you a letter with the correction. Since you are filing joint, it will not make a difference in your refund amount, just in allocation.
The amended form is not expected to be available in TurboTax until February 24, 2022.
