Form 4562 Depreciation and Amortization Report not included with my 2020 tax return pdf.

The pdf file I downloaded includes all the worksheets and form 4562. But no report like usual. And, yes, there were several items depreciated that year. Anyone know how to find or get this report for tax year 2020?

did you have additions to property and equipment in 2020. the IRS does not require the form unless there are additions. Turbotax follows this practice.

Yes, there was new equipment depreciated that year. It’s the same as the years before when the report was provided.

Please clarify which depreciation report you are missing. Form 4562 displays all assets you have entered for depreciation. You may also have an Asset Entry Worksheet for any new assets you entered last year. Those are the standard reports for depreciation. If there is another form or report you are missing, please provide the title of that page from a prior year return.

The title of the report is “Form 4562 Depreciation and Amortization Report.” Underneath the title it says keep for your tax records. It is a spreadsheet style report with all the details in one place. I know I’m not the only one who uses this report, because the last two years others have also asked where to find the report. However, the instructions given for 2019 doesn’t work 2020 taxes.

A 2020 tax return and the attached reports prepared by TurboTax Home and Business can be accessed on the computer hard drive where the 2020 tax return was created.  TurboTax does not retain any tax returns completed using the desktop editions.  They are stored on your local computer.

If you have access to the prior year tax return software, open the software and create a PDF of all the tax documents to find the depreciation report.

I used the online edition not the desk top. The same as I have been doing the last several years. When I downloaded the file after completing last years return, non of the worksheets were included. So, I downloaded it again this month and did get the file containing the worksheets. But, that specific report was not included, like it had been the years before.
