Hello,
So I had an underpayment penalty for last years return (2024). I filed Federal and State via Turbo tax Desktop early April.
However I missed submitting one of the 1099 misc forms. Now I am trying to amend the taxes and after adding the 1099 misc, I get to the screen where they check errors, I get error for Form 2210; Date filed return field.
This date cannot be before today's date. It is April 15th when I submitted my taxes early April.
Now I am not sure what this date should be, should it be today's date? Form 2210, field D at the very top.
Also its asking to mail the federal return (perhaps because filing is closed?) while for State, it seems to allow e filing.

e-File for 1040-X is not closed.
FYI
Penalties:
1040-x Line 16: Subtract any Line 38 penalty from the amount you owe reported on original 1040.
Don't try to include, but ignore, any new or changed penalty.
IRS will calculate your new penalty on their own and will bill you.

re: 2210
that, I can't help you.
Try deleting the form and see if it is reinstated with a current date.
