I apparently forgot to put a w2 from one of my jobs last year onto my return. The IRS reached out to me by mail to tell me what happened and to tell me I owed them more money. I paid the corrected amount to them. But now I think the adjusted gross income from turbotax is wrong as a result. how do i correct this and move forward?
thanks in advance!
Lou

If the correct 2018 AGI is not in the system for you, you will have to print sign and mail your 2019 return.
When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s. Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.
i dont think i kept a copy of the letter from the IRS sowing the additional payment, but it shows when i log into the IRS payment portal. what would i be sending as far as proof? is it just all of my last year w2s?
