You are mixing apples and oranges ... the file you transfer to the new tax year needs to be the last one you filed which means the amended one and to efile the return you need the AGI from the prior year original return... these are different things.
The amended always.
Thanks for the prompt reply. When I Google searched it I was brought to a 2015 or 2016 question and the answer to that suggested importing the Original. They reasoning was that when you go to efile the IRS verifies the prior year AGI as a check and that responder said they always look for the originally filed AGI, not the amended. So I am still a bit unsure.
