When will I receive my money?

Unfortunately we cannot provide you a specific date. However, you can go to www.irs.gov/refunds, after entering your information, you will be able to track your refund. When the government is done processing your return, they will issue you a refund/deposit date. Additionally, if you claimed the EIC or Additional Child Tax Credit, the IRS will begin issuing tax refunds on these returns on February 27, 2019 per the rules of the PATH act. If this applies to you, you may not see an update until late February. For more information on the PATH act and tracking your refund, please see the TurboTax FAQs below.

When will I receive my money?

This child tax credit has been going on for years, I don't understand why this year its a problem. All other tax websites have issued their refunds to their clients before the 27th, Turbo Tax is the only one still holding everyones money. This issue right here will make me NOT use Turbo Tax every again.

When will I receive my money?

@fandmmelendez  Although we would love to expedite the process, TurboTax does not have any control over when refunds are sent. The 27th is a guideline provided to us by the IRS. Ultimately it is them who decide when or if you get a refund. Some people with those credit have indeed gotten their refunds, or a DD at least, but we still have to go with their guidance as to when they specifically state the refunds will be disbursed. This is directly from their website.

*I claimed the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) or the Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC) on my tax return. When can I expect my refund?*

According to the Protecting Americans from Tax Hikes (PATH) Act, the IRS cannot issue EITC and ACTC refunds before mid-February. The IRS expects the earliest EITC/ACTC related refunds to be available in taxpayer bank accounts or debit cards starting Feb. 27, 2019, if these taxpayers chose direct deposit and there are no other issues with their tax return.

Where’s My Refund? on IRS.gov and the IRS2Go mobile app remains the best way to check the status of a refund. Where’s My Refund? will be updated with projected deposit dates for most early EITC and ACTC refund filers on February 23. These taxpayers will not see a refund date on Where's My Refund? ?or through their software packages until then. The IRS, tax preparers and tax software will **not have additional information on refund dates**, so these taxpayers should not contact or call them about refunds before the end of February.
